Two years ago, our education team took a meaningful journey to Murshidabad, visiting schools that had joined hands with us through the SLATO Digi Disha program. Among them was Genius Academy, a small yet spirited school filled with curiosity, warmth, and a deep desire to grow.
The energy and joy in that small classroom stayed with us long after we left.
Despite the school’s modest size, the teachers welcomed us with enthusiasm, and the students radiated joy. We began the day with a teacher training session, where we introduced the SLATO App and demonstrated the core methodology of running engaging digital classes. Teachers eagerly participated in the activities, gaining hands-on experience in how to make their lessons not just informative—but truly transformative.
Next, we entered the classroom alongside the teachers and conducted a vibrant demo session. We started with a fun, interactive ice-breaking activity, showing teachers exactly how to set the tone for an engaging class. The children’s faces lit up with excitement as they jumped into the activities with full hearts and curious minds.
From watching a video lesson on different professions, to playing the See and Say Activity and Ladder Game, each activity was met with laughter, confidence, and wonder. It was a moment of realization for everyone involved—when the method is right, learning becomes a joy, not a fear.
What touched us most was seeing the teachers inspired by their own students’ transformation. They promised to adopt this methodology and continue using the SLATO App to offer their students the kind of learning that’s not just educational—but empowering.
And they’ve kept that promise—even today, they continue to use the tools and training to uplift their students.
